Two points to note: firstly, it’s hard to tell from the images so far whether or not Santander are still onboard as sponsor in the absence of Alonso – once we see a picture of the rear wing, I’ll update, for those who care. Secondly, in this report, Ron Dennis is quoted as saying that Hamilton will carry #23 on his car (presumably leaving Kovalainen with #22) – personal choice, perhaps? Either way, it contradicts the official entry list, which is interesting. Well, it’s interesting to me. Alright?
And with Toyota and BMW up next, it’s not like we’ve got a lot to look forward to on the launches front. Oh well.
UPDATE : Aha, in this hi-res pic, you can clearly see Santander on the drivers’ uniforms and engine cover. So the only change to the car is the number on the nose. Oh, and speaking of which – look closely, and Kovalainen’s name is on the car. Meaning that, in fact, he is driving #23, with Lewis in #22. So Ron Dennis was just talking bollocks.
